The Black Emory Impact Circle provides grants to the Emory community supporting projects that benefit the Black community. In its first two years, BEIC took on projects that focused on expanding global education to historically underserved students, created space for mentorship at Oxford College, and gave stipends to students studying race and difference.
Emory Impact Circles raise money for their respective Impact Funds. Through a donor-guided grant-making process, funds support philanthropic priorities across the university that advance the causes important to each Emory Impact Circle.
Black Emory Impact Circle has provided five grants to the Emory community ranging from undergraduate research fellowships to Black storytelling initiatives.
