Rollins Cares

Rollins Cares is a new fundraising initiative to provide direct financial assistance to Rollins School of Public Health students experiencing an unexpected hardship, ensuring they are able to focus on their education and remain on track to graduate.

Building on the school’s existing hardship fund, Rollins Cares assists students with unforeseen costs that may arise outside of the standard costs of education. Examples include travel costs associated with a personal or family emergency, medical expenses, support for temporary housing, and other essential needs due to an unexpected life event.

Providing Rollins students hardship fund support to ensure they remain on track to finish their education and graduate.

"When I faced severe financial hardship and doubted my ability to complete my education at a school I admired, RSPH supported me. I had to sell my valuables to pay for my tuition and living expenses, making it hard for me to focus on my studies. The hardship funds I received were a miracle that provided immediate relief, alleviated my stress and anxiety, and allowed me to focus on my academic and personal goals for the semester. These funds were a temporary solution that gave me peace of mind and I will be forever grateful to the RSPH community." - First-Year MPH Student

"I truly appreciate the help of individuals and institutions that value education and make it possible for people like me to follow their aspirations. As a first-generation student from an underserved community, I had to deal with the possibility of dropping out of school due to a lack of funding. But the Rollins School of Public Health came through for me, thanks to its hardship funds. Receiving this support from the school was a life-changing moment that provided me with not only financial relief, but also a renewed sense of hope and determination. It has inspired me to work harder and strive for excellence. For this, I will always be grateful to the school and all the donors!" - Second-Year MPH Student
