Jacob Cohen-Kashi Endowed Award

We are a group of classmates who are celebrating the memory of Dr. Jacob Cohen-Kashi 94Ox 96C. Jacob was our dear friend who, as a physician and professor, enhanced the lives of his patients and future surgeons.

We are fundraising to strengthen the Jacob Cohen-Kashi Endowed Award for the benefit of first-generation, international students at Oxford College. The recipient will be able to use the funds for expenses related to internships, research, or community-engaged learning.

The goal of this fund is to inspire and support students at Oxford College who might identify with Jacob's journey as an international, first-generation college student. We hope that students supported by this fund will use their time at Oxford, as Jacob did, to build a life endowed with courage, curiosity, generosity, love, and beauty.

By giving through this campaign, your gift will be designated for the Jacob Cohen-Kashi Endowed Award within the Gifts Pending Designation-Oxford College Endowment account, a holding account until the $50,000 endowment threshold is achieved. Should the minimum funding required to endow the award not be met, then gifts will be redirected to an expendable student hardship fund for the same purpose. You will see "Gifts Pending Designation-Oxford College Endowment" on your receipt for your gift.
