Master of Divinity Scholarship

The impact Candler makes in the world depends on the remarkable ministries and inspired leadership of both students and graduates who are striving to fulfill their God-given calling. Scholarships remove the financial barrier to a Candler education and make the Master of Divinity program accessible to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances.

A gift to the Master of Divinity Scholarship Fund supports our ultimate goal for students to attend Candler tuition-free and to remove the burden of debt as they begin their life of ministry.

Through your support Candler students will flourish and receive a transformational experience that not only shapes their lives but will bring a renewed vitality to churches and a healing presence to the communities they serve. Scholarship support allows Candler graduates the freedom to serve wherever God leads them.

"It’s been a prayer and a dream realized to be a successful student at a seminary the caliber and reputation of Candler School of Theology. Thanks to the UMC, scholarships, and online classrooms, I’ve been equipped to do this work while pastoring a local congregation.” - Josh Tietje 25T, 3rd Year MDIV Student
