Oxford College Board of Counselors

In 2018, the Board established The Counselors Fund, inviting students to develop their leadership abilities by applying for grant money to fund promising ideas that will create, preserve, and enhance the development of community at Oxford College or in its local communities of Oxford and Covington.

The Counselors Fund Committee was established to review these student applications and approve funding for worthwhile initiatives.

Students can apply on a rolling basis from mid- October through mid- February. Grants are also considered on a rolling basis and students are notified within two weeks of their application, following a review process facilitated by the Board’s Counselors Fund Committee.

Examples of grant applications that have been funded in the past include feature films, music festivals, cultural events, guest speakers, attendance at conferences, and entertaining forms of friendly competition, among others.
