Oxford College Athletics

Oxford College's philosophy of intercollegiate athletics is based upon the premise that excellence in college athletics is dependent upon the ability of the institution to integrate athletics into the academic fabric of the total educational experience. The program is designed to offer individual and team sport experiences at performance levels exceeding intramural and club sport activities. The athletics program provides the student athlete body with scheduled participation in athletic contests with other collegiate entities, and promotes physical, motor, mental, emotional, and social development for its participants. The role of athletics at Oxford College is properly complementary to the primary educational mission.

The money raised will help in all facets of the program. This includes travel, equipment, player gear, gameday operations, and the overall student-athlete experience.

This fund supports our students as they achieve academic and athletic success. For 12 years in a row, all of our athletic teams have maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher. This past year, 58 Oxford College of Emory University student-athletes were named to NJCAA All-Academic teams. Men's basketball and men's tennis were named NJCAA Academic Teams of the year, meaning they achieved the highest GPA in their respective sport throughout the academic year. The men's and women's tennis teams repeated as national champions for the eighth year in a row. We try to give the students the best possible athletic experience.
