Youth Theological Initiative

The Youth Theological Initiative (YTI), founded in 1993, is dedicated to innovative youth ministry. YTI offers programs that help high school students deepen and expand their faith by introducing them to fundamental scholarly tools that allow them to engage their faith and beliefs with intellectual vigor.

While most YTI scholars come from Christian traditions, our programs are open and hospitable to all. We have found that bringing together youth of diverse beliefs (even from within the large span of Christian traditions) is the most impactful of all. YTI is a place where young people learn how to respect and care for others with different beliefs and to enrich their faith and understanding through these relationships. Given our current climate, this is one of the most important things that YTI does.

YTI has also provided transformational personal and professional development for Candler students. Whether they are going into youth ministry or something broader, Candler students learn new ways of providing ministry, education, and community-building across differences.

YTI can only continue with your support. Your gifts will go toward scholarships for the YTI Summer Academy, a two-week residential program on Emory's campus. YTI is committed to ensuring that a family's finances are never a barrier to participation. Your donations make it possible for YTI to change lives.
