The mission of NBLSA is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black and minority attorneys who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. The purpose of Emory BLSA shall be to utilize the collective resources of the chapter to provide a support system for Black law students in educational, financial, and social settings; articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of Black law students; foster and encourage professional competence; focus on the relationship of the Black law student and the Black attorney to the American legal structure; instill in the Black attorney and the Black law student a greater awareness and commitment to the needs of the Black community; influence the legal community to bring about meaningful change to meet the needs of the Black community; and do all things necessary and appropriate to accomplish these purposes as stated in the current Constitution and Bylaws of the National Black Law Students Association, Incorporated.
We are fundraising to support Emory BLSA's mission of empowering Black law students academically, financially, and professionally. Funds will help us provide scholarships, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities, which are vital to fostering a community that equips students to succeed in the legal field. Additionally, your contribution will allow us to host events and initiatives that raise awareness of issues affecting the Black community and encourage meaningful change within the legal profession. Through these efforts, we aim to increase the number of culturally responsible Black attorneys who positively impact society.
