Ngambika

Ngambika is a Greek-neutral organization that promotes the emergence of student leaders on Emory’s campus through Service, Academics, Sisterhood, and Step (S.A.S.S). The step aspect of the organization aims to build a sisterhood through an athletic team experience. It acts as not only a way to strengthen the community, but also as a means of team building. This mission is carried out through community service projects in and around the Atlanta area as well as on Emory’s campus. Moreover, the organization will collaborate on events and/or programs with other multicultural organizations.

Ngambika will be fundraising for the team of freshman this semester. Since Ngambika is a first-year only step team, there is a new team every year! The money we fundraise will go toward their debut show in December that the girls prepare all of fall semester for. We want to put on the best show possible for them to reward all of their hard work and vulnerability for trying something new! The fundraised money will go towards bonding events for our organization in order to continue fostering sisterhood, one of our most important values within the team, as well as costumes, meals, Wonderful Wednesday tabling, and our banquet in the Spring to award the girls for all of their hard work and dedication.
