Center for Ethics

Emory Center for Ethics

An international leader in the exploration of ethics, the Emory Center for Ethics explores a full range of ethical questions, from the good life to interpersonal obligations to matters of institutional responsibility. In research seminars and through a growing Fellows program, scholars from across the university and beyond gather at the center to collaborate and study. The Center also hosts public programs, partners, and consults with private and public community organizations, and teaches students at every level. Emory's renowned ethicists are committed to asking thoughtful questions and enabling people and organizations to put ethics into practice.

EASL – Ethics and Servant Leadership, Experiential Learning Program

The premier experiential learning program at Emory University’s Center for Ethics is the D. Abbott Turner Program in Ethics and Servant Leadership (EASL). The program is designed to enrich the student's life and integrate the practical, intellectual, and spiritual components of their work while deepening their understanding of ethical responsibility and service in the workplace.

Gifts to the Ethics and Servant Leadership program allow us to provide a stipend to the summer interns and funds an end of year retreat for the students. This funding ensures that financial need is not a barrier to participation so that the students best suited for each position can access the life-changing experience.

MAB –Master of Arts in Bioethics Program

The Master of Arts in Bioethics program provides rigorous, advanced, interdisciplinary study in bioethics for professionals and students interested in the social and ethical challenges facing medicine and the life sciences. Given Emory's status as a leading research and teaching university, graduates of Emory’s Masters in Bioethics program will be trained to help to advance the national conversation on important issues influencing public policy, scholarship, practice, and education in the field. Your support will fund scholarships, allow conference attendance for students, and keep our graduates leading the way!
