Below you will find answers to many common questions about COMPLETED! - 2019 All In a Day.

What is All In a Day?

All In a Day is Emory's day of giving that is held during Founders Week 2019. This 1836 minute long campaign, celebrating Emory's founding year of 1836, begins at noon EST Wednesday, February 6, and continues through 6:36 p.m. EST Thursday, February 7, offering easy and fun ways to support what inspires you.

When is All In a Day?

The campaign kicks off officially at noon EST Wednesday, February 6, and closes at 6:36 p.m. EST Thursday, February 7. That's right, this year's All In a Day will run for 1836 minutes in honor of Emory's founding year!

Why should I participate in All In a Day?

Your support provides Emory the ongoing resources that are crucial to its growth and success as a world-class institution. Donors touch lives every day with gifts that support academics, research, patient care, scholarship, and service to others. It takes the collective annual support of alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty, and staff to make an institution like Emory great.

How can I make my gift?

Visit https://allin.emory.edu between noon EST Wednesday, February 6, and 6:36 p.m. EST Wednesday, February 7, to give to what inspires you. Instead of 24 hours, this year's All In a Day will run for 1836 minutes in honor of Emory's founding year!

Is it possible to make a gift by mail or by phone?

Because All In a Day is a time limited giving campaign, we strongly encourage you to make your gift online. This is the only way to ensure your gift will qualify for matches and challenges that are taking place throughout the event. To give by phone, you may call 404.712.GIVE (4483) from 12 noon to 7 p.m. EST Wednesday, February 6, and from 7 a.m. to 6:36 p.m. EST Thursday, February 7, but we cannot guarantee that gifts made over the phone will count toward matches and challenges.

What areas can I support?

Please review the participating groups on our main page and find the area that inspires you. You may also view the specific funds that you can give to and learn the impact of your support. From contributing to student scholarships and strengthening academic programs to funding transformational research and supporting innovative patient care, you can make an immediate and lasting difference for Emory. While there are specific funds for specific purposes for each participating group, most groups also have a Fund for Excellence that provides unrestricted resources to help Emory's schools and departments make strategic investments in high-priority areas.

What are Matching and Challenge Gifts?

Matching funds and challenges help drive competition between and increase support for participating groups as they work to meet the criteria to earn additional support for their areas. Participating in challenges and matching opportunities throughout All In a Day is a great way to make your support go even further. A complete list of challenges will be on the Challenges page, and active matches and challenges can be viewed on the main landing page and the participating group landing page for the benefiting area. Check back for updates throughout the event.

What other ways can I get involved?

Share your stories and images using the hashtag #allinemory to help spread the word! Tagboard will allow visitors to allin.emory.edu to view constant updates from the Emory community. You can also become an Emory ambassador, sharing messages and creating excitement about the day before and during the campaign. Spread awareness within your network using your preferred forms of communication and encourage others to join you in giving back to Emory. Help your favorite areas of Emory earn matches and challenges throughout the day to maximize the power of donations.

How did Emory’s first and second day of giving go?

In conjunction with Founders Week and President Sterk’s inauguration on February 8, 2017, Emory’s first day of giving raised $582,722 through 2,246 gifts in just 24 hours. The second day of giving in February 2018 raised $1,002,251 through 3,415 gifts in just 24 hours.

What is an ambassador and how can I become one?

Ambassadors are Emory’s digital leaders, sharing messages and creating excitement about All In a Day before and during the campaign. During Emory’s first day of giving in 2017, more than a third of online gifts were the result of ambassador outreach! With an investment of a few hours, ambassadors help spread awareness—asking their network to participate in All In a Day using their preferred forms of communication: email, text, phone, and social media. If you are interested in becoming an ambassador, you can register online or email annualgiving@emory.edu with questions.
