Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI) unites faculty, students, and partners in research, programs, training, and discourse to empower communities and improve global health.
Founded in 2006, EGHI achieves impact by cultivating the next generation of global health leaders, catalyzing evidence-based data into action, connecting global health stakeholders, and sharing Emory’s scientific eminence with the world.
For Emory Day of Giving, we are highlighting these giving opportunities:
- EGHI Field Scholars Awards Program (EGHI Field Scholar Awards Fund) is EGHI’s longest-running student program. Since 2008, more than 400 students have participated in field work with research partners in 57 countries. From developing ambulance provider courses in Tanzania to evaluating infant feeding toolkits in Malawi, students work in multidisciplinary teams and engage in peer-to-peer collaboration to advance global health equity.
- Emory Global Health Institute Faculty Seed Grants are awarded to Emory faculty who are committed to global health research that results in new academic knowledge and innovative solutions to global health challenges. EGHI’s seed grant program has a 13:1 return on investment for faculty. In 2022, Emory faculty who were recipients of EGHI’s seed grants conducted research in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Mexico, and the U.S.
Your gift to Emory Global Health Institute (Global Health Institute Support) supports Emory students flourishing, faculty eminence, and research excellence in global health.
