Preparing the nurses of tomorrow is our focus of today. Recognized as a top-10 School of Nursing by U.S. News and World Report across our baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral programs, the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing enables the next generation of nurses to meet their personal and professional goals through a world-class education.
With your support, the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing will continue to lead the way in nursing education, research, and innovative healthcare practices. We invite you to invest in tomorrow’s nursing leaders and shape the future of our school. Your generosity will help ensure a vibrant, highly skilled nursing workforce for years to come.
For Emory Day of Giving, we are highlighting these priority giving opportunities:
Scholarship Support
- Through the dedication and generosity of hundreds of alumni, faculty, staff, and donors, we are looking to permanently endow the Nurses Alumni Association Scholarship to serve countless nursing students in perpetuity. Scholarship support is vital to attracting the best-and-brightest to our School and to ensure dreams of becoming an Emory nurse aren’t hindered by the potential of insurmountable student debt upon graduation.
By giving to this fund, your gift will be designated for the Nurses’ Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship within Gifts Pending - NUR Endowed Scholarships, a holding account until the $100,000 endowment threshold is achieved. Should the minimum funding required to endow the scholarship not be met by 8/31/23, then gifts will be redirected to an expendable scholarship fund for the same purpose.
Physical Spaces
- The Emory Nursing Learning Center (ENLC) is the newest addition to the School of Nursing with another 70,000 sq. ft. to support nursing education. Your generosity will help provide the latest in simulation technology and teaching resources that expose our students to practical, cutting-edge experiential learning opportunities.
Groundbreaking Dementia Care
- Emory's Integrated Memory Care (IMC) is a nationally-recognized nurse-led primary care model that addresses both the unique challenges that dementia patients and their care partners face. It is the only nurse-led center of its kind, treating each patient's dementia and other chronic conditions using a palliative care framework and engaging care partners as a key member of the care team.
Unrestricted Support
- A gift to the Nursing Fund for Excellence provides Dean Linda McCauley with the flexibility to invest in strategic priorities at the School of Nursing. The Nursing Fund for Excellence is utilized to help with faculty retention and recruitment, student research, and in areas that bring our community together and celebrate our successes.
