Emory Entrepreneurship & Venture Management aims to promote intellectual growth and curiosity by cultivating entrepreneurship within the Emory community. Our mission is to create opportunities for students to learn about, and experience entrepreneurship, along with providing a network of resources to turn any idea into a successful startup. For many, entrepreneurship and venture management paints an ambiguous picture - and we recognize that for an early-stage startup to grow it needs access to a broader startup ecosystem. As Emory’s premier entrepreneurship organization, we want to create a more accessible path to the broader startup ecosystem, so no idea seems “impossible” to realize.
We provide students with the platform, resources, and mentorship to build their own companies. We start our journey with our signature Hackathon, HackATL, in Fall where students can develop their idea into a real business and move on to Excellerator, a selective incubator for promising early stage startups, in Spring. To assist these students in their journey to achieving their dream, as well as fostering an inclusive community full of diversity and inclusion, assistance in funding is needed. Funds can be used for a variety of purposes from helping support HackAtl to funding the creation of smaller events such as our Ignite speaker series.
