The Hatchery

The Hatchery supports innovation and entrepreneurship at Emory—across all schools and disciplines, and at every stage of the journey. We empower Emory students with the skillsets and mindsets to be purpose-driven and effective innovators and entrepreneurs who build and scale successful initiatives, companies, and nonprofits.

Last year, The Hatchery welcomed over 2,400 program participants, supported 90 student ventures, and helped 26 ventures to launch.

What “Friends of The Hatchery” funds will support

These funds support student founders in The Hatchery Incubator program. This program provides:

  • Micro-grants to allow students to build prototypes and test their business ideas
  • Guidance from subject matter experts in various sectors
  • Mentorship from successful founders, non-profit leaders, and industry executives

In summer, The Incubator also provides student founders with an hourly wage to ensure they don’t have to choose between starting a venture and taking a paid job elsewhere. Your funds offset these program expenses to ensure all Emory student founders are fully resourced to succeed.
