Inter-Religious Council

The Inter-Religious Council, which just began its 32nd year, gathers representatives of all of the undergraduate religious and philosophical student organizations on the Atlanta campus plus several at-large members. The Emory IRC mission is to cultivate a healthy, religiously pluralistic campus climate, by (1) networking our religious and philosophical student organizations, (2) growing as a community in religious literacy and interfaith leadership, dialogue, and action skills, and (3) serving the larger campus and community through interfaith initiatives and programs. This group meets weekly over dinner for dialogue and plans retreats, trips, and campus events.

The IRC Fund sustains the continued weekly gathering of the IRC and financially supports the interfaith initiatives and activities these student leaders produce for the wider Emory community.

For decades, IRC has brought together diverse students into communities of dialogue that result in lifelong relationships and create interfaith leaders whose impact ripples outward into the world.
