Jewish Life

Emory Jewish Life supports Jewish practice, culture and learning on campus. We offer a connection to Emory for our Jewish life affiliates, Hillel, Chabad and Meor, into the Emory administration. We advocate for the needs of Jewish students, faculty and staff on Emory's campus. And we seek to ensure that Emory remains a home to an active, inclusive, and vibrant Jewish community.

Jewish Life programming from the Office of Spiritual and Religious life is growing and will continue to complement the wonderful offerings from our Jewish life partners. Whether this means a campus-wide Chanukah party, High Holy Day services or an interfaith seder, we will continue to meet students where they are in their diverse connections with Judaism and to educate the wider campus.

Since 2021, we have been convening a Jewish Life Working Group made up of students, staff, affiliates and administrators, all with a stake in vibrant Jewish Life at Emory. Our group advocated for a university-wide religious accommodation policy so that students of all faiths are not asked to choose between academic success and religious observance and we recently secured a new OSRL sukkah for the dining commons.
