University-wide Initiatives

2O36 inspires investment in people for the benefit of people, bringing the Emory community together to build on our mission to serve humanity through knowledge.

We envision that Emory will transform the world to come—contributing to boundary-pushing advancements that spark change, inspire wonder, and catalyze action.

For Emory Day of Giving, we are featuring several giving opportunities to support university-wide initiatives.

  • BCJ Cox Hall Fund supports Belonging and Community Justice (BCJ) identity spaces to advance Emory students’ education, empowerment, wellbeing and sense of purpose and belonging.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Programming: The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) creates spaces for faculty, staff, and students to work and learn in inclusive, equitable, and diverse environments where they thrive and bring their whole selves to our campus community.
  • Emory Alumni Board Leadership Scholarship Endowment supports annual scholarships for full-time undergraduate and graduate students. The Emory Alumni Board represents the voices of Emory's 150,000+ alumni and selects scholarship recipients based on merit and financial need.
  • Emory Emergency Medical Service (CEPAR Emory Emergency Medical Service Fund) is a volunteer EMS organization, operated by students, with oversight from Emory’s Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response. In the Emory EMS Education Program, students will learn how to become Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Advanced EMTs (AEMTs) through classroom, lab, and clinical experiences.
  • General University Scholarships replace student loans in Emory financial aid packages, ensuring that talented students with financial need can graduate debt free.
  • Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Life: By engaging the Emory community in creating an affirming and just campus environment, the Office of LGBT Life supports the development of students with all gender and sexual identities.
  • Office for Racial and Cultural Engagement (RACE): RACE empowers students to examine the construction of racial identities and create active learning communities that enhance opportunities for cultural engagement.
  • Student Flourishing Fund supports the four dimensions of the student journey: academic experience, professional pathways, purpose and meaning, and community and well-being.
  • And Center for WomenEmory Alumni Association, and General University Fund for Excellence.
