Uplifting Marginalized Mothers & Individuals

UMMI serves refugee mothers and incarcerated mothers, as well as other women in marginalized communities. We dedicate services and hold volunteer events for motherhood, maternity health, and pregnant women, specifically in the incarcerated and refugee communities. Through collaborations, we create events and volunteer opportunities in the fields of healthcare, education, and cultural competency.

Our service projects for this year and next year - especially the refugee food festival, which hopes to empower refugee business owners to increase publicity and their brands. Also, we hope to raise funds to create more packaging events for the refugee and incarcerated communities in Atlanta. These funds will also be used to spread awareness and bring guest speakers to dinner events to raise awareness of current issues happening in these communities. All funds will go towards growing our club, increase service event presence, and supporting our executive board to work together, bond, and create events for healthcare, advocacy, and education.
