Arts at Emory

Emory Arts supports artistic pursuits on campus and beyond in the name of discovery, justice, and community. Emory Arts fosters young artists through its seven academic departments and engages with the community through initiatives such as the Arts & Social Justice Fellowship, Creativity Conversations, Science Gallery Atlanta, and on campus at the ArtsLab. Whether you would like to help support scholarships, maintain and update facilities, enhance academic programs, or provide general operating support that enhances our ability to respond to the daily needs of our students, your gift to Emory Arts will make a significant impact in the creative life of Emory University.

Please consider making a gift to:

Gifts to the Donna and Marvin Schwartz Center for Performing Arts support the Schwartz Center as we work to cultivate the next generation of creative leaders and improve the human condition by bringing world-class arts to Emory and the greater Atlanta community.

Gifts to the Friends of Music support the music department’s vision to provide valuable programming, enhance the curriculum, and fund scholarships for required music lessons for music majors. Your support enriches the musical life of our community and sustains the artistic and academic excellence of Emory University.

The Friends of Dance support Emory’s Dance & Movement Studies Program, one of the leading dance programs in the South. With your support, students can study abroad, conduct research, attend conferences, attend intensives, and learn from notable speakers in dance and performance.

Gifts to the Friends of Film allow the Department of Film and Media to invite renowned film scholars, filmmakers, and other industry professionals to campus to engage with students and support student research by providing mini-grants for filmmaking projects, travel to film festivals and conferences, and visits to archives. The Friends of Film also supports the Emory Cinematheque Series, the best 35-millimeter and digital film repertory programming in the Southeast.

Gifts to the Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta support its mission to spread great music throughout the community. Now in their 31st season, the Southeast’s largest and most active chamber music organization brings together some of the city’s finest resident musicians with internationally-known performers who are dedicated to performing the most delightful, exciting, and interesting music from the chamber repertoire in some of the most acoustically and visually beautiful spaces in Atlanta. Outside of local performances, the Society tours, participates in recording projects, commissions new works, coaches student ensembles, teaches private lessons, and engages in numerous community outreach activities.

The Emory Jazz Alliance is devoted to supporting jazz education, awareness, and performance at Emory University and throughout the wider community. Gifts to the Emory Jazz Alliance provide much-needed equipment and instructional resources for the Jazz Studies program, nurture young jazz performers, help organize jazz performances, and raise the visibility of jazz via local partnerships.

Gifts to the Friends of Theater support Theater Emory’s commitment to producing quality theatrical productions, providing research grant support, sponsoring guest artist residencies, fostering new work through the Playwriting Center, and recognizing student or community artists via financial awards.

“At Emory, I have been able to foster many different groups on campus that center around a shared passion for music. The scholarship empowered me to lead Emory's pep band, conduct the Young People's Concert Orchestra, and thrive academically with reduced financial constraints.” - William Parrish II 24C
