Emory Law

Emory Law is committed to continuing to create an inclusive community that fosters empathy, service, and leadership.

Emory Law will continue to be a national and global leader in legal education by welcoming and supporting a diverse law school community, by carrying out path breaking and influential scholarship, and by offering exceptional teaching and practical learning opportunities.

Emory Law seeks to recruit ambitious, outstanding, and diverse students from across the nation who aspire to the level of excellence associated with Emory lawyers. By tripling the size of its endowments devoted to merit scholarships, needs-based financial aid, and other forms of student support, Emory Law will provide the nation’s top students access to exceptional legal education and prepare these future leaders for career success without financial hardship.

It is imperative that Emory Law be the gateway for professional success and service to society for students from a wide range of backgrounds and financial circumstances while also supporting long-term financial stability for the school.

For Emory Day of Giving, we are highlighting these giving opportunities geared at student flourishing:

Law School Fund for Excellence - Look behind any activity at Emory Law and you will see the Law School Fund for Excellence at work. The fund, which supports the law school, offers critical funding for our highest priorities: scholarships, program support, and experiential learning opportunities.

Emory Public Interest Committee (EPIC) - This fund makes it possible to introduce students to public interest work by providing stipends for students who worked in otherwise unfunded public sector summer jobs.

The Emory Law Volunteer Clinic for Veterans - Support our veterans by contributing to the work of the Emory Law Volunteer Clinic for Veterans. The clinic assists those who have served our country with legal issues, including claims for service-connected disability before the Veterans Administration and in subsequent appellate proceedings.

Barton Child Law & Policy - The Barton Center promotes and protects the legal rights and interests of children involved with the juvenile court, child welfare, and juvenile justice systems; inspires excellence among professionals; and prepares emerging practitioners for successful and rewarding child advocacy careers. The center accomplishes its goals through the provision of holistic legal representation to youth, public policy and legislative advocacy, community outreach, and professional education.

Turner Environmental Law Clinic - The Turner Environmental Law Clinic provides important pro bono legal representation to community groups and nonprofit organizations that seek to protect and restore the environment and promote environmental justice. Through over 4,000 hours of legal work each year, we offer students a hands-on introduction to environmental law and train the next generation of environmental attorneys.

Transactional Law Center - The Center for Transactional Law and Practice provides a roadmap for every student interested in studying transactional law—from those who want to learn only the basics to those who want to go further and earn the Transactional Law and Skills Certificate. Your support helps us expand the curriculum as we continue to set the standard for similar programs across the country.
