Shaping leaders in service to the global good, the James T. Laney School of Graduate Studies prepares a diverse, inclusive student body for success through scholarship, research, teaching, and programming. Leaders like chemistry PhD candidate Kristen Patterson and psychology PhD candidate Chaela Nutor who are conducting extraordinary research in their fields of study while still finding time to assist in the recruitment of prospective students from historically underrepresented backgrounds.
The Laney Graduate School community continues to grow with bright and motivated leaders such as Kristen and Chaela. We saw a 32% increase in applications this past fall, representing the largest number of applicants to our doctoral program in our history. Through your generous support, Laney Graduate School is positioned to ready students like these for a variety of careers in a competitive, ever-changing job market and aid them in identifying new ways to utilize their degrees by translating their skills into professional success. This work would not be possible without you!
As a community, we have a duty to prepare students for careers with the potential to change hearts, minds, and the world. We invite you to invest in Laney to prepare tomorrow’s leaders and shape the future of our school.
