For more than 100 years, the Michael C. Carlos Museum has inspired generations of Emory faculty, students, and visitors, enhancing lives through the questions we ask and the stories we tell about great works of art.
For Emory Day of Giving, we are highlighting the Michael C. Carlos Museum Fund for Excellence. Your gift will provide unique opportunities for students at Emory and around Atlanta to collaborate with curators, conservators, and educators on object research, exhibition development, conservation, and public programming.
We are also highlighting the Michael C. Carlos Museum Student Fund which provides Emory students with opportunities including two annual student nights at the Carlos, student research and conservation education, training for our student guides, and monthly student studios - drop-in art-making sessions where students learn about items in the Carlos collection and create art with their new understanding. Our students get to make a deep dive into how objects were made, why materials matter, and what and how imagery communicates, and then they can impart that knowledge to the larger Emory community.
Your gift unleashes extraordinary opportunities at the Carlos Museum for all Emory students and other young people in our community.
