Emory South Asian Women's Collective

SAWC is an organization that seeks to cultivate a sisterhood of South Asian women at Emory and Oxford College through the lens of community building and social justice. We plan a mix of academic, social, and cultural events for anyone interested in new friendships and meaningful discourse around South Asian women's issues. We also aim to create a safe space for South Asian culture to be shared with the broader Emory and Oxford communities.

Funds raised through the Emory Day of Giving will predominantly used towards hosting events, providing money to immigrant and refugee businesses in our future bazaars, hosting community events like mehendi nights and panels, etc.

The wise heart seeks knowledge, and generous leadership donors support the programs closest to their hearts. The 4 groups with the most $1,000+ donations by 6:00pm EDT on March 28 will share $5,000 in bonus awards. Award dollars will go to the fund designation that receives the most $1,000+ gifts in each of the 4 winning groups.
