Our mission is to make rowing accessible to any Emory student and to compete at a high level.
The team was founded in 1990 and has continued to grow since then. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to move into a tent-like structure that now serves as a makeshift boathouse. With your help, we were able to retrofit it with boat racks for proper storage and to reduce the chance of injury. We recently purchased a 4-seater to accommodate our dedicated and passionate rowers. However, the job isn’t done! We continue to face the challenges that come with a growing team, and we need your help to keep growing and winning.
The costliest items for our team are the boats themselves. Though our varsity team has served well for the past years, the time has come to retire it due to damage, wear, and tear. The funds raised through this campaign will go towards purchasing a new 8-seater boat for our varsity team, enabling them to continue to compete and practice.
