LaFe is an interdenominational Christian organization that invites non-Christians and Christians with a background of any denomination to learn about who God is and “to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8). LaFe has been actively serving and loving Emory’s campus for over two years. LaFe is where Latinos can grow and explore their Christian faith, become a close-knit community, and be their authentic selves. LaFe provides Latino students with a "home away from home”, where they can make long-lasting relationships and feel like they belong. We host weekly Bible studies where we dive deep into Scripture and share testimonies that resonate with others who have Latino roots. We also host cultural events where students can experience and enjoy Latino culture (i.e., food, music, and fellowship) with people of similar and different faith backgrounds. In addition, we partner with other student organizations to host enriching events on campus. LaFe allows students to connect with the community through multiple service projects and volunteer opportunities.
Like most non-profits, we raise money to host events on campus and to support students in growing their faith. We would appreciate your support in making this possible! Currently, we are fundraising for the Intervarsity Remix Conference. Remix is a Christian conference that will be hosted on March 3rd-5th. The conference invites students of color to fellowship with one another and to dive deeper into their relationship with Jesus through live worship, seminars, and powerful sermons. Some of our members are in need of scholarship money to be able to attend.
