The Young Democrats of Emory serves to engage the Emory student body civically by hosting discussion-based events, bringing speakers and local activists to the College, and working with other politically-oriented organizations on campus. We aim to create and promote activism throughout Emory and extend that work into the Atlanta community and beyond. Additionally, we support the broader mission of the Democratic Party through our activism as we promote party values and candidates through our efforts. Our work has helped register hundreds of students within the Emory community to vote, allowed several significant political candidates and nonprofit leaders to come to campus, and has helped Emory students become more involved in politics and local activism.
We are fundraising to support Young Democrats of Emory for three key reasons: 1) to support our efforts to engage the Emory general body with our work through our general body meetings, 2) to put on activism-oriented events that uplift the work of the incredible work being done by local Emory and Atlanta organizations, and 3) to help bring even more incredible speakers and candidates to our campus.
