Founded in 2020, the Emory Ecological Society is a student organization at Emory University that conducts research, outreach, and ecological restoration on Emory’s campus and in the surrounding community. We are a recognized chapter of the Ecological Society of America’s Strategies for Ecological Education, Diversity, and Sustainability (SEEDS) program.
We will use the funds to purchase restoration equipment and native plants such as paw-paw, spicebush, and river oats to replant in areas where we are removing invasive species. Funds will also support ongoing research on the invasive Emerald Ash Borer and a field trip to the Georgia coast.
