We're a club focused on activism and social justice at Emory! We're part of a larger network of activists across the country who organize events on their campuses and in their communities to mobilize advocates for reproductive freedom, raise public awareness about reproductive health and rights, fight for gender equality and resist administrations that restrict the rights of women, members of the LGTBQ+ community, religious minorities, differently abled individuals, and people of color. We want to create lasting change in the Emory and Atlanta communities by focusing on three main areas-- education, campus organizing and activism. We're planning on bringing speakers to campus, holding events to educate on reproductive justice, and doing the Planned Parenthood I Stand With campaign at Wonderful Wednesdays. We're also going to be partnering with on-campus organizations, volunteering with local Planned Parenthoods, and attending marches/rallies/local events!!
We are raising funds to purchase materials for weekly general body meetings and events, contraceptives to distribute as part of our easy emergency contraceptive distribution on campus, supplies for care baskets for mothers and marginalized women in the Atlanta community, and wellness resources to support our members.
