This organization serves to promote the success of its members, as well as the exchange of ideas with respect to Latin/Hispanic culture and the law.
LALSA recognizes and adopts the following goals/purposes:
1. To facilitate the success of LALSA members and alumni both intellectually and socially,
2. To promote Latin/Hispanic culture and the law through a healthy exchange of ideas and values,
3. To disseminate information concerning legal and policy decisions and their respective impacts on the Latin/Hispanic community, and
4. To achieve active participation of all members in all aspects of LALSA.
We are raising funds to support Emory LALSA’s mission of empowering Latin and Hispanic law students academically, financially, and professionally. Your contribution will directly fund scholarships, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities—essential resources that help our students thrive in the legal field.
Beyond student support, your generosity will enable us to host events and initiatives that amplify issues affecting the Latin and Hispanic community, fostering awareness and driving meaningful change within the legal profession. Currently, Hispanics make up only 5.8% of the 1.3 million lawyers in the U.S., highlighting the urgent need for greater representation.
By supporting Emory LALSA, you are investing in the future of Latin and Hispanic attorneys who will become leaders, advocates, and change-makers in our communities and beyond. Join us in building a more inclusive and diverse legal profession!
