Emory Musicians Network is an organization of undergraduate musicians at Emory dedicated to fostering community and connection through music. We are open to music majors and non-majors alike and our goal is to create a thriving music scene on Emory's campus that encourages creativity and collaboration. In partnership with Emory Arts, we maintain the Music Den, a free-access communal rehearsal space open to all students at Emory, and we also regularly host events from open mics, to band showcases, to themed concerts to provide Emory students with as many opportunities to perform as possible.
We are raising money to purchase additional equipment for the Music Den that can be used and rented out by student musicians free of charge. Our goal is to purchase additional microphones that students can use both in the Music Den when recording or rehearsing, as well as to rent out for on-campus events and concerts. Our equipment gets rented by dozens of organizations on campus, from A Cappella groups, to student bands, to other student clubs, and having additional microphones will help us meet the demand for rental equipment and support more student groups. We are also hoping to raise money to help fund the venue for our end-of-year Battle of the Bands concert, an annual tradition that draws students from across campus to support student bands as they compete for the coveted Battle of the Bands champion title.
