Michael C. Carlos Museum

The Carlos Museum is a center for student flourishing on campus. The museum offers a wide range of academic, informal learning, and social experiences, from programs for undergraduates to graduate students and medical school students. Emory students collaborate with curators, conservators, and educators to create exhibitions, investigate objects, and explore ideas through great works of art. Emory faculty collaborate with the museum to create custom tours and programs that introduce Emory students to unique, object-based learning experiences. One example is the Carlos Museum’s partnership with Emory’s School of Medicine to develop elective courses and in-gallery programs to help nurture well-rounded, compassionate, and patient-focused physicians.

The Impact of Your Gift

With your support, 2O36 will further expand student engagement opportunities, developing programs and unique research opportunities that invite students to deepen their relationship with the Carlos Museum.

Your gift to the Michael C. Carlos Museum Student Fund will support a wide range of activities, from Student Studio where students participate in hands-on art making to curatorial internships in which students conduct original research on ancient works of art to deepening the museum partnership with Emory’s School of Medicine.

Assistant Professor Ellen Gough, and her students examine a work of art from the Carlos Museum's South Asian Art collection.
