Emory Day of Giving coming soon, March 22-23, 2023!
Department of German Studies

As a nationally recognized Center of Excellence for undergraduate studies in German, the German Studies Department continues to seek ways to enhance and improve its teaching and research on the German-speaking world. Its faculty strive to bring their research into the classroom by offering courses on topics ranging from sustainability to translation to the linguistic and ethnic diversity in Germany and Austria. Summer 2023 will mark a very special milestone for the department as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of its study abroad program in Vienna, Austria.

The Impact of Your Gift

Your support will enable the next generation of our students to succeed in their endeavors when majoring or minoring in German. More specifically, it will fund students’ extracurricular engagements, such as presentations at national conferences or their study abroad. It will also help our festivities in Austria’s capital in the summer of 2023.
