Emory Day of Giving coming soon, March 22-23, 2023!
Film and Media

Film and Media is an undergraduate-centered department that teaches courses in film and media studies and production. We offer a Major and Minor in Film and Media, a Minor in Media Production, and a Concentration in Film and Media Management.

Film and Media is fundraising to support our continued growth as one of the most creatively and intellectually vibrant departments in Emory College. We seek support to help us maintain our robust slate of programming, with film series and guest speakers that engage both the Emory and Atlanta communities. We also strive to increase support for student research, particularly in our burgeoning film and media production program, where an increasing number of students are pursuing creative projects in live action and animated filmmaking, and photography.

The Impact of Your Gift

Your gift will help us:

  • Bring an outstanding array international films (about 50 annually) to campus with the free, public Emory Cinematheque Series, the best 35-millimeter and digital film repertory programming in the Southeast.
  • Invite renowned film scholars, filmmakers and other film and media professionals to campus to engage with students and run hands-on workshops.
  • Support student research by providing mini-grants for filmmaking projects, travel to film festivals and conferences, and visits to archives.
