We are Emory Muslims and together we are a vibrant and impactful community that has continually enriched the fabric of Emory’s and Spiritual life.
We are raising funds for Muslim Life at the new Emory Interfaith Center and to support Muslim student programs that support the community and make an impact on campus whether their origins are with undergraduate or graduate students.
This past Ramadan the Emory Muslim community hosted 20 iftars as Ramadan returned during the school year. We had budgeted well in advance for all of them with support from University Departments and Offices, Muslim alumni, and friends. But the response was so enthusiastic with about 90 to 140 students attending each night. We had to top of the budget for each iftar, order more food, with costs being higher, and we had to top off the budget. Your contributions can bring this cherished Islamic tradition to so many more students this coming year.
