We support Jewish life, culture and learning on campus. We offer a connection to our Jewish life affiliates, Hillel, Chabad and Meor to Emory's administration. We advocate for the needs of Jewish students when they encounter challenges on Emory's campus. Finally, we seek to ensure that Emory remains the home to an active, inclusive and vibrant Jewish college community.
Jewish Life programming from the Office of Spiritual and Religious life is growing and will continue to supplement the wonderful offerings from our Jewish life partners. Whether this means a campus-wide Chanukah party, High Holy Day services or an interfaith seder, we will continue to meet students where they are.
Since my arrival in 2020, I have been convening a Jewish Life Working Group made up of students, staff and administrators, all with a stake in Jewish Life at Emory. Our group advocated for a university-wide religious accommodation policy so that students of all faiths are not asked to choose between academic success and religious observance.
