Emory Wheel

The Emory Wheel is the University's only independent, student-run newspaper.

As an independent newspaper, we rely solely on ad revenue and donations to fund the paper. The Wheel can be an incredibly high time commitment; editors often put in 15-20 hours a week. For low-income editors, the time commitment has proved a barrier for some who might not have the time on top of school and work. The Wheel is fundraising to offer low-income stipends to be able to offset barriers to entry and pay editors for their time. We also are hoping to be able to cover more Atlanta events such as campaign events, arts concerts and more, and we are using this fundraiser to support these initiatives. Fundraising will allow The Wheel to continue to operate and expand our efforts to remain a nationally ranked paper that can put out the best content we possibly can.
