Emory Global Health Institute

Emory Global Health Institute unites faculty, students, and staff across Emory University, and partners, to improve health for all and promote health equity around the globe. Our programs give promising students formative, interdisciplinary experiences in the field. We incubate innovative faculty ideas to help stop and contain infectious diseases, reduce chronic illnesses, mitigate climate change, and more.

For Emory Day of Giving, we are highlighting these giving opportunities:

  • EGHI Field Scholar Awards are granted each year to Emory students with several key objectives: reinforcing result-driven global health research, cultivating collaboration, developing strong leaders, and providing an opportunity for hands-on experience in another country.
  • Emory Global Health Institute Faculty Seed Grants are awarded to Emory faculty who are committed to developing and implementing high-quality research that results in new academic knowledge and innovative solutions to global health challenges.
  • Your gift to Global Health Institute Support enables EGHI to fulfill its mission to shape and foster the next generation of global health leaders who will improve health around the world. With your help, EGHI can continue to support and strengthen our programs and extend our global impact.
  • EGHI Global Health Hackathon program began in 2020 to incubate innovative solutions in the fight against COVID-19. This annual program continues to challenge students to push themselves intellectually and provide new approaches to emerging global health issues.
