Filipino Student Association
Filipino Student Association is a club dedicated to promoting awareness of Filipino culture and heritage through service, education, community outreach, and community building events. One of our club mottos is, "No, you don't have to be Filipino!" because we hope to share our culture with other Emory students of diverse backgrounds. We value diversity and inclusion in our leadership, events, and community. We are also dedicated to community service and social justice for Filipino-Americans and fulfill this mission through collaborating with state and national organizations as well as hosting our own efforts. Filipino Student Association is fundraising money to spur more community engagement and community outreach efforts at Emory University and in the greater Atlanta area. As a minority of the larger Asian-American/Asian population on Emory campus, we would like to be able to fund our events to encourage Emory students from all backgrounds to engage and learn more about Filipino culture and the importance of Filipino-American history and current lived experiences.
