Michael C. Carlos Museum

At the Michael C. Carlos Museum, visitors experience works of art in our galleries that bring to life the cultures, religious traditions, and artistic narratives that have shaped the history of civilization from antiquity to the present. The Carlos Museum strives to engage the curiosity of each visitor through compelling exhibitions, collections of ancient and contemporary works of art, and exciting educational programs. Without your support, we would not be able to offer these opportunities to schoolchildren, university faculty and students, and the larger community. 

Your gift supports our ability to provide memorable experiences to visitors of all ages. We appreciate the generosity of alumni and friends like you.  

For Emory Day of Giving, we are highlighting the Museum Educational Programs Fund: 

Gifts support innovative programs that bring arts education to all ages. As the need for classroom support and distance learning resources continues to expand and evolve beyond the COVID-19 crisis, there is an immediate need for Educational Programs Fund support. The Carlos Museum must invest in new strategies, technologies, equipment, and staffing in order to adapt to a transformed teaching environment, and your gift will make a difference.

Toast Away Wonderful Wednesday
In 1982, Emory set the world record for the largest non-alcoholic toast. Together we toasted and raised support for schools, units, and causes at Emory. Thanks to anonymous donors 74C and 97C, the top five participating groups with the most gifts raised from 4:00–6:00 p.m. EDT on March 24 earned additional funding. Challenge dollars were awarded to the following funds: Oxford College–Judge Horace J. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Endowment ($600), Athletics–Swimming and Diving ($500), Sustainability Initiatives Fund ($400), Emory College Scholarships ($300), and Theology School Fund for Excellence ($200).
