Emory attracts top student athletes who seek to reach the highest levels of collegiate academic, athletic, and personal growth. Emory students distinguish themselves outside the classroom in competition with 27 NCAA Division III national championships and a host of strong seasonal finishes for the Emory Eagles. 

Emory is one of just a handful of schools in the nation to rank atop both the Directors' Cup of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics for best all-around athletics program and the U.S. News & World Report rankings of best national universities.

Toast Away Wonderful Wednesday
In 1982, Emory set the world record for the largest non-alcoholic toast. Together we toasted and raised support for schools, units, and causes at Emory. Thanks to anonymous donors 74C and 97C, the top five participating groups with the most gifts raised from 4:00–6:00 p.m. EDT on March 24 earned additional funding. Challenge dollars were awarded to the following funds: Oxford College–Judge Horace J. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Endowment ($600), Athletics–Swimming and Diving ($500), Sustainability Initiatives Fund ($400), Emory College Scholarships ($300), and Theology School Fund for Excellence ($200).
