Internationally recognized for our experience in infectious disease treatment and research, as well as for delivering world-class health care, Emory University is hard at work combating the COVID-19 pandemic from all sides—from cutting-edge research and urgent clinical care to public health education.
For Emory Day of Giving, we are highlighting these giving opportunities:
The Emory COVID-19 Impact Fund enhances Emory's broad work to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Gifts support areas of critical need such as resources for frontline Emory caregivers, lifesaving research in new treatments and prevention, patient care in the Emory Healthcare system, and community testing and awareness.
The Emory Together Fund provides emergency financial assistance to students, faculty, and staff of Emory University. By helping meet their most pressing and immediate needs, the Emory Together Fund has helped members of the Emory community overcome the difficult obstacles presented by COVID-19.
The School of Nursing COVID-19 Support fund provides nursing students and nurses with educational materials and tools specific to COVID-19 and pandemics, enables research on the effects of COVID-19 on vulnerable populations, and supports the mental health of healthcare workers.
Gifts to the Public Health Preparedness and Research fund support initiatives such as Rapid COVID-19 Pilot Awards for Rollins School of Public Health faculty and the Emory COVID-19 Response Collaborative (ECRC). The ECRC is working with the Georgia Department of Public Health to protect the health and safety of Georgians through planning coordination, outbreak response and evaluation, training and deployment of public health professionals throughout the state, and surveillance, research and monitoring efforts.
