At the Emory Global Health Institute, we are guided by the vision of a world of people living healthy lives, to their fullest potential. We make small bets with big impact. We bolster life-saving global public health initiatives around the world. Our programs give promising students formative, interdisciplinary experiences in the field. We incubate innovative faculty ideas to help stop and contain infectious diseases, reduce chronic illnesses, mitigate climate change, and more.

When you invest in the Emory Global Health Institute, you are helping support talented researchers and students who will create lasting change in global health, strengthening communities and economies worldwide. 

For Emory Day of Giving, we are highlighting these giving opportunities:

  • Global Health Institute Field Scholars Award Program are granted each year to Emory students with several key objectives: reinforcing result-driven global health research, cultivating collaboration, developing strong leaders, and providing an opportunity for hands-on experience in another country.
  • The EGHI Global Health Hackathon challenges students to push themselves intellectually and provide solutions to problems sparked by current global health issues.

Toast Away Wonderful Wednesday
In 1982, Emory set the world record for the largest non-alcoholic toast. Together we toasted and raised support for schools, units, and causes at Emory. Thanks to anonymous donors 74C and 97C, the top five participating groups with the most gifts raised from 4:00–6:00 p.m. EDT on March 24 earned additional funding. Challenge dollars were awarded to the following funds: Oxford College–Judge Horace J. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Endowment ($600), Athletics–Swimming and Diving ($500), Sustainability Initiatives Fund ($400), Emory College Scholarships ($300), and Theology School Fund for Excellence ($200).
